On Imagine’s unique survival camp we share our environmental knowledge and bushcraft skills in an exciting and safe setting. The first 3 days are spent in a stunning forest surrounding on Yangmingshan where we will cover a range of fascinating survival skills with a ‘civilisation game’ theme. The last two days of the camp are spent on the sandy Fulong beach where we will build rafts, play beach games and complete some stand-up paddleboard (SUP) challenges.

For the first 3 days, we will meet at Daan park at 9:00 and ride a minivan up to a specially chosen location on Yangmingshan. The bus will return to Daan Park, exit 5 for drop off at 17:00. (Pick-up locations are flexible, please inquire) 


Day 1

10:30-12:00  Learn about assessing the situation and survival priorities. Set up camp (arrange fireplace, find and gather supplies, explore surroundings for resources etc.).
12:00-13:00 Lunch (kids eat packed lunch).
13:00-14:00 Learn to make a fire using only a fire stone! Look out for animal tracks.
14:00-15:30 Continue setting up camp, learn to build a shelter. Set up a hammock.

Day 2

10:30-12:00 Continue improving shelter and base. 
12:00-13:00 Make cooking tools, cook on fire (kids bring packed lunch mainly to fill up but can taste some of the food we bring to cook, and they can bring things to cook if desired).
13:00-15:00 Learn ways to filter water and other survival tricks. Use creativity to design an animal trap (no animals harmed). 
15:00-15:30 Tidy up camp, improve base.

Day 3

10:30-12:00 Survival theory - through several challenges, learn life-saving tips from our experts.
12:00-13:00 Track down game (follow tracks to find something). Lunch: bring packed lunch, but will also do some cooking.
13:00-15:00 BSA Practical test: demonstrate your skills to tick off boxes and work towards BSA Level 1! 
15:00-15:30 Cleaning our base and leaving it as we

Day 4

Travel to Fulong beach by minivan. We will make rafts out of bamboo and then try them out with a raft race! The day will also include games and useful knowledge and skills for beach survival.

Day 5

More island survival skills at Fulong Beach, such as: techniques to obtain fresh water from sea water, ways to signal to boats, how to avoid getting swept away by rip currents and more. Take your BSA Level 1 theory test and see if you can obtain the certificate. Also many fun games in the water to get wet and cool down! 


Participants must sign up to either the first 3 days or all 5 days. Please note that the above schedule is subject to change depending on the weather, interests, ability levels and other circumstances. We take a flexible approach, teaching the most appropriate skills at the best times.

10:30-12:00 生存訓練理論。

12:00-13:00 追蹤遊戲(跟蹤痕跡找到一些東西)。午餐:自帶便當,也會做飯。

13:00-15:00 BSA實踐測試:按照技能列表展示你的技巧,朝著BSA一級的方向努力!

15:00-15:30 清潔營地,將其恢復成我們來之前的樣子

All classes are taught by BSA-qualified (Bushcraft and Survival Association) guides with many years of experience leading survival camps abroad.

Kids aged 7-11 may now aim towards a BSA Junior Level 1, 2 or 3 certificate. To achieve each level, students must demonstrate a series of skills and answer a set of theory questions. Everyone will receive a handbook to track their progress.

Youth from 12-18 can work towards BSA Senior Level 1, 2 or 3 - a more challenging syllabus.

Older teenagers may work towards Junior Instructor Level 1 and 2, and come back free of charge to assist the instructors any time.

Adults may apply to work towards BSA Instructor Level 1, 2 and 3 on full training courses (be ready for a real challenge!). Please enquire.
